Checklist: Visa Requirements
- Are you a EU and EEA resident? If you answer yes, you do not need a visa to enter or reside in Germany. If you would like to reside in Germany, you must register with the resident's registration office.
- Citizens of Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and the United States and other 19 states do not need a visa to enter Germany and stay for up to three months. If you would like to stay longer than 90 days or reside in Germany, you must register with your local resident's registration office within the first three months of your stay.
- Are you a non- EU and EEA resident? Non EU and EEA residents must check with their local German embassy or consulate whether they need a visa to enter Germany.
